Tintoralba wines have won an excellent award at the last edition of the VinEspaña awards. On this occasion, Tintoralba wines have won 7 gold medals in one of the most important wine competitions in our country, which this year had almost 900 samples examined by a group of 40 oenologists from all over Spain.
En primer lugar, destacan las nuevas añadas de Altitud 1.100 en todas sus referencias, que han logrado una medalla de oro en la categoría de vinos tranquilos: tanto las referencias de tinto, como en la de blanco como en la de rosado. This was the sixth edition of the competition, which took place between 29 February and 2 March in Jumilla (Murcia).
On the other hand, the two wines of our Alquería project have also received the highest distinction of the competition, which is part of the National and International Competitions sponsored by the International Union of Oenologists (UIOE). The two wines from the Alquería project, Cerro del Buey and Piedras Coloradas, both from the 2022 vintage, both won gold medals in the competition, both in the organic wine category.
For their part, we should be especially proud of the gold medal won by El Cantorral Tinto2023, que con a penas un par de meses en el mercado, ha conseguido el máximo distintivo en la categoría de vinos ecológicos. Finally, our Tintoralba Dulce, one of the best sweet wines in Spain, has also obtained a gold medal in its 2023 vintage.
Belén Soria, director of the international trade department of Tintoralba, has expressed the satisfaction of the entire winery for having achieved these awards which “reward the great work being done by our team and the commitment to the incorporation of new wines from Alquería and the whole new range of wines from Tintoralba and Altitud 1100. These awards are just the first step for the new references of our wines, which we are sure will also gain international recognition in the coming months”.
