Sustainability
Organic vineyard
Bodega Tintoralba has been committed to organic vineyards for more than 15 years. The climate of our area, together with the altitude of the town of Higueruela, create the ideal conditions so that there are no major pest problems in our variety par excellence, the Garnacha Tintorera.
A seal of guarantee for the production of top-quality wines
The development of pests and diseases in Garnacha Tintorera can be perfectly controlled with organic farming practices, since this variety does not usually have major pest problems.
We carry out practices that are within organic farming to prevent pests and disease control, with the application of sulfur and copper.

One of the works carried out in our vineyards is the placement of pheromone traps to control the grape moth. Due to the altitude of Higueruela, this pest does not affect the grapes too much, so the controls we carry out on the moth are minimal.

With regular controls in the field and occasional phytosanitary treatments, the crop correctly reaches its peak of development. Higueruela itself is organic.
The advantages of this type of organic farming over conventional farming are that the grapes arrive at the winery with less residues, pesticides and fungicides. All this favors the production of Tintoralba wines, because they have fewer agents that affect the grape production process. The grape enters much cleaner, its skin is less loaded.
With organic farming, we can meet the sustainability objectives demanded by the foreign market.

Vegan wines
Wine is considered vegan because no animal-derived components are used during the grape transformation process. In the case of our Garnacha Tintorera red wines, the winemaking process is exempt from the use of these components of animal origin.
