Pedro Sarrión

A winemaker has to make the most of the characteristics of the grape in its transformation into wine, highlighting the differentiating character of the variety, influenced by the production area and the means available to each winery.

Wines made to reflect the character of our terroir and our grapes

Pedro Sarrión has spent a lifetime dedicated to winemaking. He studied at the country’s leading schools of enology and viticulture and, in addition to his numerous trips around the world (Australia, United States, China, South Africa…), he has learned all kinds of viticultural and enological practices for the production of unique and singular wines.

He is considered one of the great defenders of the wines of our land. In fact, in 2000 he was one of the promoters of the Almansa DO, one of the most important in Castilla La Mancha today. Garnacha Tintorera was recognized as a variety of the Almansa DO thanks to him.

Pedro Sarrión has received the “Honorary Winemaker 2023” award from the Castilla La Mancha Winemaking Association in recognition of his long professional career. He is also president of the Airén por el Mundo and Vinos de España Selección competitions held in Castilla La Mancha.

Winemaker of Tintoralba
since 2000

In 2000 the Tintoralba project was created for the production and commercialization of bottled Garnacha Tintorera wines. From this moment on, Pedro Sarrión is designated as the winemaker to fulfill this mission.
