Tintoralba Tinto 2022 triumphs again in Japan with a double gold medal at the Sakura Awards

Tintoralba Tinto 2022 (in its Japanese version known as Higueruela), has once again achieved important recognition in Japan, this time receiving a new “Double Gold” medal at the XI edition of the “SAKURA” Japan Women’s Wine Awards 2024.
This competition has become one of the most important in the wine sector in Japan and Asia, with the particularity that the jury of the competition is composed only of women. In total, more than 4,000 wines from 27 different countries were tasted.
In this way, our most renowned young red wine in Japan adds a new international recognition to the one already achieved in the 10th edition of the “SAKURA” Japan Women’s Wine Awards 2024. In addition, over the last year, Tintoralba Tinto also won important national awards, such as the BACO GOLD Medal at the “Bacchus Harvest 2022 Awards”, the 37th edition of the National Competition of Young Wines and also, at international level with the Gold medal at the International Bulk Wine Competition (IBWC).
Javier Navarro, export manager of Tintoralba, has valued this new award as another example of “the great reception and acceptance of our wines, and especially this young wine made from 100% Garnacha Tintorera, by the Japanese public, one of the most demanding in the world”.
