Tintoralba Tinto 2022, one of our most successful wines at international level, has been awarded with a medal “Baco de Oro” at the 37th edition of the National Young Wines Competition – Baco Cosecha 2022 AwardsThis makes it one of the young wines of reference in Spain.
This young red wine, made from 100% Garnacha Tintorera, has been the only wine to win the Bacchus awards not only for our winery, but also for our Almansa Denomination of Origin. For this reason, this award is even more relevant, as more than 400 different wines participated in this competition organised by the Spanish Tasters Union in the different tasting days of this edition corresponding to the 2022 vintage.
Pablo Fernández, Tintoralba’s export manager, has valued this award as “an important recognition of the work of our team and of one of our most renowned wines not only in Spain, but also in countries as far away as Japan.where our young wine is one of the favourites of the Japanese consumer”. Moreover, the versatility of this wine, says Fernández, “makes Tintoralba Tinto Joven a very dynamic wine that can be enjoyed not only at any time of the year, but also with different starters and as an accompaniment to a main course or grilled meat”.
The presentation of all the award-winning wines will take place on Thursday 29th June in Madrid, where the Tintoralba team will be present. The venue chosen for the occasion. Hotel Princesa Plaza, will see the “Unión Española de Catadores” award all the prizes to the winners of this 37th edition of Premios Banco, including Tintoralba Tinto Joven 2022.
