Tintoralba’s Wine Bloggers Dinner - Success!!!

March 13th, 2008

Wine Bloggers Dinner 2008Ryan Opaz and Pedro SarrionThank you for coming to the first wine bloggers dinner in Spain, and thanks you for writing about it talking about it, posting it etc etc on your wine blogs, food blogs and wine tourism blogs. You all made this event a big succes. Enjoy the photos Robert McIntosh made: WINE BLOGGERS DINNER PHOTOS

As the export manager of Tintoralba I just hope that many wineries in Spain and outside Spain will follow this example. Apart from all the contacts we made, it was above all a very fun event.

Let’s hope that in the future every big wine event will have a parallel wine bloggers meetup. Only a few weeks ago the initiative of Ryan “Catavino” Opaz was born in February 2008. Tintoralba decided to sponsor it and and viral marketing and the blogs did the rest. Especially the posts at the social networks of Turismo 2.0 and theOpen Wine Consortium.

And if it wasn’t for that brilliant mistake we made a registering our winery too late for a stand at the Alimentaria fair, we would not be able to look back on this unique wine bloggers event. Sometimes errors can lead to successes!

This time the wine bloggers dinner was held in Barcelona because of Alimentaria, but who knows what is going to happen at Prowein in Düsseldorf, or at the IWSF in London, or at Vinitaly in Italy, and what about the Hong Kong Vinexpo, and next year at the Bordeaux Vinexpo? Just a few possibilities for any winery to organize a wine bloggers event. Which wineries will take the next step?

Thanks to the people behind the following blogs/websites like Olaf Uno Mas, Pilarvi, Abadia Retuerta, Bodegas Valdrinal, The Wine Conversation, Excel Wines, Solymer Asia, Manfatta, Guild of European Business Travel Agents, Lightening Source and many more bloggers who couldn’t make it. You all made this first wine bloggers dinner a big succes.

See you at the next one!!!
