Seoul and Singapore Follow up
November 28th, 2007After the trip to Corea, I have to sit down and go through my new contacts. The Asian Market is really starting to become very interesting. Singapore is a small but growing market, where Spain still has a long way to go. In Korea, the biggest handicap is that I don’t speak their language. I thank God we have Woon, our Korean wine agent. I would be lost without her, especially when I suddenly stood in front of a 10 marketing managers in the Marketing Board Room of one of the leading wine and spritis importers of Korea, at the 32nd floor in the financial district of Seoul. I thought I had a nice quiet meeting with this possible client and prepared a few samples him. But as I stepped in the office and was guided into the board room I understood something was expected from me here. In the end I told a story about wine and marketing in Spain. After a tasting and using the white board to show some figures and numbers, most of the marketing managers looked happy and liked the wines…at least that is what they said. See what Woon, our agent, thinks about it, when she will have a second meeting with them this week.
